Sweetheart Drive

Sunday, February 13th - 9:30 AM

Join your Seattle Section MBCA friends for a “Sweet” Valentine drive on Sunday, February 13th. You don’t need a companion, just your love for Mercedes-Benz! We’ll meet up in the northwest corner of the Fred Meyer parking lot in Auburn (801 Auburn Way N) at 9:30 AM for a driver’s meeting and then head out at 10 AM. We’ll follow the Green River through the beautiful farmlands of the Green River Valley. Our first stop will be at Canter-Berry Farms, homesteaded in the 1870’s. We’ll be treated to blueberry muffins, coffee and blueberry tea. Blueberries may not be in season, but their farm shop is open and features everything “blueberry”. Blueberry pottery, blueberry chocolates, blueberry tea and local honey are a few of the gifts and treats available for purchase. We’ll be crossing our fingers for some clear skies because the mountain views are spectacular as we continue our drive thru the valley and up along the gorge to the historic City of Black Diamond. We’ll spend a short time there enabling you to visit the Black Diamond Bakery, The Smokehouse & More or Black Diamond Antiques, to name a few. Lastly, we’ll complete our drive just up the road at Lumber House Brewery for lunch and possibly a brewski. They’ve specialized in small crafted brewed beers since 2014. Please RSVP by Feb. 10th to Debbie Ward at jazznlady@comcast.net or 253-278-2314.
